An hour and a half through a neighborhood that literature quite literally invented. Pushkin, Gogol, Griboyedov, Blok, Akhmatova all appear here more than once, and some of them turn out to have more than one address. In one of these buildings, twenty years after a young poet moved out, a very different man moved in, and that's not the only coincidence like it on this route. Along the way you'll find a church that no longer exists, a theater that changed Russian drama in a single evening, and an apartment where one of the century's most famous poems was written. And by the end, all these stories come together in a single, unexpected place.
